 + OSX 10.8.5 (mountain lion) [[BR]]
 + MacPorts 2.2.1 [[BR]]
 + gcc 4.8.2 [[BR]]
 I have not had installed atlas [[BR]]

 I recently upgraded to python 3.4 and was running in the error mentioned
 above.
 The following worked for me:

 port uninstall py34-scipy [[BR]]
 port select --set gcc mp-gcc48 [[BR]]
 hash gcc [[BR]]
 port install atlas [[BR]]
 port install -s py34-scipy [[BR]]
