New description:

 Hi,
 I am trying to install numpy and scipy. fftw-3 seems to cause some
 problems. I tried reinstall of python, clean of fftw-3 and direct install

 In the future, please use WikiFormatting and fill in the Port field with
 the port that actually fails to build.
