Comment:

 The config.log says the reason it can't compile C programs is:

 {{{
 fatal error: stdio.h: No such file or directory
 }}}

 So I suspect the problem is what it says in wiki:FAQ#missingxcode: you
 need to install the Xcode command line tools.
