 The Portfile adds `PKG_CONFIG_PATH='${python.prefix}/lib/pkgconfig'` to
 the configure environment. Since you didn't attach the main.log I cannot
 check whether that worked for you, but it certainly works fine for me.

 Please attach the main.log.
