 Oh, sorry for misunderstanding.  Reopening.

 Note that I don't want to exclude ppc platforms because it should be
 perfectly fine to *install* llvm and clang on darwin/ppc, but it doesn't
 generate darwin/ppc code very well.  I think it's much better than it was
 in the 3.0 days, but I haven't had a darwin/ppc system for a few years.
