 Knowing what's in /usr/local/include and /usr/local/lib specifically might
 help. I suspect you may have a copy of zlib or libpng installed there that
 is interfering. Such interference is why we don't support having software
 installed in /usr/local while using MacPorts. See wiki:FAQ#usrlocal.
