#46189: py-numba: use llvmlite instead of llvmpy?
------------------------------+--------------------------------
 Reporter:  Deil.Christoph@…  |      Owner:  macports-tickets@…
     Type:  enhancement       |     Status:  new
 Priority:  Normal            |  Milestone:
Component:  ports             |    Version:
 Keywords:                    |       Port:  py-numba
------------------------------+--------------------------------
 Currently {{{py-numba}}} needs on LLVM 3.3 and that fails to install on
 Mac OS X 10.10, so many Macports users can't get {{{numba}}}

 There are open issues asking {{{py-llvm}}} to add LLVM 3.4 and 3.5
 support:
 * https://github.com/llvmpy/llvmpy/issues/96
 * https://github.com/llvmpy/llvmpy/pull/97
 * https://github.com/llvmpy/llvmpy/issues/106

 But it's not clear when this is going to happen and I just saw that
 {{{numba}}} now recommends to use {{{llvmlite}}} instead:
 * https://github.com/numba/numba#dependencies

 So hence this feature request ... please
 * Add an llvmlite port (see https://github.com/numba/llvmlite)
 * Use this for numba so that it becomes available on Mac OS X 10.10
