 I have a newer version of the portfile at
 [https://github.com/cooljeanius/LocalPorts/blob/master/sysutils/dpkg/Portfile],
 but I have avoided attaching it here because it includes a bunch of failed
 attempts at fixing #40807 (in the `+docs` variant) which are
 unnecessary...
