 I uninstalled mjpegtools and all dependencies:

 sudo port uninstall mjpegtools
 sudo port uninstall --follow-dependencies leaves

 and then tried to reinstall it:

 sudo port -v install mjpegtools

 This time it used libquicktime-devel as dependency. But libquicktime-devel
 has it's own problems:
