 I was about to report an identical ticket when I stumbled upon this one,
 the same compiler error with the same machine and OS. The +clang option
 seems to solve the bug thank you.  The error was prompted while installing
 octave.

 The process now continues to the Building stage but hangs there for a very
 long time, Is that a normal behavior?
