 Auctex has a variant "mactex", so this is similar. But: I don't know of
 any ports that do that for non-macports Emacs. Indeed, I don't know of any
 port that is a "plugin" (e.g., Emacs package, perl module, whatever), that
 allows non-Macports "parent" application. So it's probably not a good idea
 to do this.
