 Well in the meantime there is version 4.7.1 available and port `py26-pymca
 @4.4.1p1` already exists. So this somewhat old submission is a bit
 outdates.

 Would it be sufficient to update the existing port to use the unified
 python port group and to bring it to the most recent version, i.e. 4.7.1?
