 It looks like things are building correctly in the build phase, but then
 for some reason the destroot phase is trying to rebuild it, and since the
 CFLAGS and LDFLAGS aren't being set properly in the destroot phase, it
 can't find its dependencies, such as:

 {{{
 ld: library not found for -lXpm
 }}}
