Comment:

 Done in r116144. I went ahead and did it before I saw your offer.
 However, there have been some instances of incompatibility with some
 versions of perl in the past and so it's probably just as well.  No
 problems in this instance.

 If you see any similar problems with any of my other ports, please feel
 free to go ahead and make the necessary changes.  I'm glad to see the perl
 default changed to something more current.
