Comment:

 This is an intltool configuration error caused by mismatch between the
 perl variants of perl5 and intltool. Solution is to use autoreconf to
 reconfigure so as to use MacPorts version of intltool.m4 which is patched
 to avoid this problem.

 Fix committed in r121607.
