 This looks like the bug that I fixed some time ago in the KDE libs.
 Essentially, updating the status bar went into an endless loop, so digikam
 became irresponsive starting with 3.5.0. In the meantime, the kdelibs
 package has been updated, to 4.12 and the problem should be gone. So this
 ticket can probably be closed.
