 *forehead slap*  I did, but apparently I did a
 {{{
 sudo apachectl restart
 }}}
 instead of
 sudo ./apachectl restart

 which caused the OSX apache to start instead of the ports one. It's fine
 now. I'm sorry for that! Thanks so much for the help.
