 After 3 months of without an update of this port and 5 days of no response
 on the macports-dev mailing list, I guess it seems reasonable to consider
 this port abandoned.  Can anybody recommend an alternative?  Maybe
 Homebrew?  I've generally had good experiences with macports and haven't
 taken the time to evaluate/learn an alternative.
