 This sounds like it should be reported upstream, though, as it doesn't
 look like a bug in the port as a bug in avrdude itself. Perhaps it's
 linked to [https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?40831 this bug] or
 [https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?40702 this one]?
