 I tried to create a Portfile for updating LaTeXiT to 2.6.1 from 2.5.0. I
 updated the version and checksums, added a livecheck, and fixed a spelling
 matter. However, the port does not build, and gives a large number of
 errors like
 {{{
 info:build error: garbage collection is no longer supported
 }}}
 I am not sure what the next step is to fix this. I checked that if I try
 to rebuild my currently installed 2.5.0 it also fails in the same way, so
 I believe the issue is not the newer version of LaTeXiT but rather an
 intervening update to XCode. I currently have version 5.1.1 on OSX 10.8.5.
 I have attached a patch to update the Portfile, as well as main.log from
 the update to 2.6.1 and from trying to rebuild as is at 2.5.0.
