 Thanks for the ticket.  My initial testing agrees with that stated above,
 but after the "Use colors from system theme" profile option is deselected,
 setting it again results in black text on a white background.  On restart
 the program retains the setting last selected as expected.

 Sounds like an initialization problem but this setting is not contained in
 the org.gnome.Terminal.* gsettings schemas.  So it is being stored
 elsewhere.  Will investigate further and advise.
