 Feel free to open a new ticket, even though I strongly suspect that there
 might be something strange on your system (maybe you installed some
 libraries yoursel and ROOT from MacPorts is picking up those). Does ROOT
 crash immediately after you run it? If that is so, it will be a bit
 difficult to reproduce because at least starting ROOT works for us and
 some additional input from you might be needed. When you open the ticket,
 please run "otool -L <all bin and dylib files from ROOT>" and check if any
 of the reported files points to strange locations (other than `${prefix}`,
 `/usr/lib/lib*.dylib` and Apple Frameworks).

 Btw: the ROOT developers keep getting the impression that MacPorts is
 hopelessly broken if they hear that word too often in bug reports. For
 crashes at startup of MacPorts programs it might be better to ask the
 MacPorts gurus directly. (You can also try IRC.)
