 This is interesting.. out of curiosity I just tried to do 'port
 selfupdate' (which seems to have just got the current version again, but
 also updated the ports tree) and then 'port update outdated' and that gave
 me this same failure on updating boost.
 I have attached my stdout and main.log (called macports_boost_*).
 Obviously boost hadn't been a problem before...
