 We specifically check for readline in /usr/local and don’t use —enable-
 readline if it is there. This looks more like the readline headers in
 /usr/include don’t match the library in /usr/lib. Your configure output
 has:
 {{{
 checking whether rl_username_completion_function is declared… yes
 }}}
 whereas it says no on my system (Mavericks).
