build into MacPorts to detect, as it's probably '''very''' uncommon.
Hmm, I have exactly the same problem, so I found this post. Tried
following the instructions, but now:
Darwin 13.2.0 Darwin Kernel Version 13.2.0: Thu Apr 17 23:03:13 PDT 2014;
root:xnu-2422.100.13~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64 i386
Apple LLVM version 5.1 (clang-503.0.40) (based on LLVM 3.4svn)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin13.2.0
Thread model: posix
Similar output from sqlite3:
version|1.200
created|1311408569
portfiles_update_needed|1
and tried to reinstall from:
/opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/tarballs/base
(had to make clean, configure, and make install).
Install fails with:
Processing 1 of 1382: Xaw3d-1.5E_4.darwin_13.i386.tbz2
Command failed: /usr/bin/tar -cjf
/opt/local/var/macports/software/Xaw3d/Xaw3d-1.5E_4.darwin_13.i386.tbz2 -T
/opt/local/var/macports/software/Xaw3d/tarlist >
/opt/local/var/macports/software/Xaw3d/error.log 2>&1
Log contains:
tar: Removing leading '/' from member names
tar: /opt/local/include/X11/Xaw3d/Template.c: Cannot stat: No such file or
directory
tar: /opt/local/include/X11/Xaw3d/Template.h: Cannot stat: No such file or
directory
tar: /opt/local/include/X11/Xaw3d/TemplateP.h: Cannot stat: No such file
or directory
tar: /opt/local/lib/libXaw3d.8.0.dylib: Cannot stat: No such file or
directory
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.
... and I can't continue (can't reinstall macports, can't finish
upgrading).
So, doesn't seem to be uncommon.
