 I couple ideas...

  - At a guess, an issue with a mis-match between X11/Native graphics
 between ROOT and some dependency.

  - The root5 port has a patch to disable TIFF support in AfterImage  when
 cocoa is enabled.... Maybe something the similar is needed...
