 Thank you for reporting this upstream.

 I asked in a clumsy way. I wanted to ask whether you had any clue if these
 are still problems. There is a reasonable chance that tickets such as
 "Digikam @2.0.0 hangs at launch" could be closed, either now or after
 upgrading to version 4.0.0. There is also a chance that some tickets are
 open because users didn't know that they would need to run `launchctl`
 etc.

 Dear maintainers of the port: please check the patch and let us know if
 you agree with it or if you have something to add.
