I just very much doubt there would be much enthusiasm from those that
would be involved, to setup new build bots (and to do it properly it would
be 3 new ones, for OSX 106, 10.7 and 10.8) just for this.
Yes, there are pros and cons. The pros for switching to libc++ are reduced
problems as more and more projects rely on c++11 features. The downside is
yes, users building privately against the MP libraries would have to be
careful to make sure they also use the non-default libc++ runtime. To me,
its really a matter of opinion as to which of those wins out. Personally,
I am kinda in the middle on it. I think the current situation is a
reasonable compromise. Users that want to can use libc++ by default, but
they have to choose to do this themselves, and then have to build
everything from source. A pain yes, but at least it works....
