 I confirm the above error and solution (patch) by the original poster.

 Somehow v1.584 made it to trunk, but the missing dependency is still not
 there.

 Since 1.592 is out, I've attached a patchfile with both missing dependency
 and new version.

 I hope the maintainer can apply this.
