 I tested Python now. I do get the window and no errors or warnings. I have
 no clue how to use it though ;)

 So based on your instructions I'm going to lower the number. And if I have
 time, I might even test in on a virtual machine running 10.6. I suggest to
 ask the upstream to lower that number as well.
