Out of curiosity, what does the sandboxing feature do, other than
preventing access if there are symlinks in the prefix?
It's a pity OS X doesn't have mount --bind, but I'm starting to consider
rather seriously to move the whole tree to a ZFS dataset that I'd mount on
/opt/local. The only thing holding me back is the fact that those do not
currently allow SpotLight indexing, something which does come in handy
rather frequently to find specific MacPorts files ...
