#39850: Sandbox denies access when prefix/portdbpath not normalised

Reporter: jwhowse4@… | Owner: cal@…
Type: defect | Status: closed
Priority: Normal | Milestone: MacPorts 2.3.0
Component: base | Version: 2.2.0
Resolution: fixed | Keywords:
Port: |

Comment (by cal@…):
Use WikiFormatting to format Terminal output (e.g. using !{{{ and }}}).
MacPorts can not automatically switch itself to the trunk version, you
need to follow http://guide.macports.org/#installing.macports.subversion
to do that. That being said, it looks like the 2.3 release will arrive
soon-ish.
Please don't modify the value of prefix in macports.conf. It's meant to be
strictly read-only (why do we even have it in there anyway?) and is
probably what's keeping you from getting the binaries. If I remember
correctly having a non-normalized prefix is not what's breaking things,
it's the value of portdbpath.
