 It appears that the -fno-check-new compiler option was deleted from the
 akonadi source by revision 938e9231 on 12-22-2013  (according to
 https://projects.kde.org/projects/kdesupport/akonadi/repository/revisions/master/changes/CMakeLists.txt).
 So my guess is that updating the akonadi version to 1.11.80 or 1.12 should
 address the issue.
