 Please remember to use WikiFormatting.

 mpd builds fine for me on Mavericks but I have not tested on Mountain Lion
 which I see is what you're running.

 What did you mean "with mp-gcc49"? I see no evidence in your second log of
 MacPorts gcc49 being used, nor would I expect there to be, since the mpd
 port does not offer a gcc49 variant; it's using clang, just as it should.

 The second log does have completely different errors than the first
 though.
