 I have seen this before. The problem here probably arises from the fact
 that you installed with some MPI variant active. This port fails to handle
 this correctly. Can you confirm a MPI variant is active?

 A fast workaround would be to deactivate the currently installed hdf5-18
 port and install w/o a MPI variant. (If this is possible).

 Of cause, this port still needs fixing!
