 A year ago or so, I had the same crash, and the reason had something to do
 with some font problem in the X-window system and (maybe) the gtk library.
 Sadly I don't remember more detail, but that may give a hint. Maybe
 rebuilding some font cache could help (or maybe not). I'm so sad without
 the scheduled transaction editor :-(
