Comment:

 Am I wrong if I assume that Lustre supports only Linux and is closely
 bound to its kernel. We should be realistic Macports will not be able to
 port Lustre to OSX if this is not done upstream. I therefore would propose
 to close this ticket as 'invalid' or 'wontfix'.

 Any opinions?
