 Sorry about that.  Looked fine on the email I got.

 That was it though, thanks!!!   I'd installed the macports for Mavericks,
 but it WAS an earlier version that what was on the website.  Did not
 realize there would be a more current version for Mavericks.  Now I know!
 I was able to sync all the ports and install wget, and command line tools
 for XCode, so am hoping all is right with the world again.  Waiting on
 user to show up and test.
