 Thanks.  I read too quickly and misread Mihai's comment in the wine bug.
 I think llvm-3.1 is old enough that we can just blacklist it. 3.2 and 3.3
 are still quite heavily used even though I think 3.4 is quite mature now
 and 3.5 is out.
