New description:

 Building gtk3 with the +quartz variant causes problems like the following:

     dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _GTK_IS_PLUG
       Referenced from: /opt/local/lib/libgtk-3.0.dylib
       Expected in: flat namespace
 }}}

 This is solved by a commit more recent than 3.14.5:
