 Is that user’s MacPorts set up to use a non-rsync transport? Do they need
 to run `port sync` with superuser privileges (judging from the
 permissions)? Note that `patch-configure.diff` was deleted with the last
 `libffi` update, so a successful sync should remove it.

 In any case, this ticket seems resolved. Feel free to ping [[MailingLists
 |macports-users]] if you need some help sorting out syncing.
