Comment:

 Thanks for reporting. szip_cc was not created with +openmpi (but without
 error with +mpich). CC was not correctly set because configure.cc was
 modified by PortGroup mpi. Corrected by wrapping configure.cc with pre-
 configure. Done in r128942.
