 `port echo depends:py27-scientific` gives the following result:

 {{{
 py-scientific
 py27-fiat
 py27-ipython
 py27-MMTK
 py27-tables
 }}}

 I do not know much about `py-fiat` and `py-MMTK`, but `ipython` and `py-
 tables` might be quite relevant. In installed against Py3, they do not
 depend on scientific. So probably this should become the default for Py2
 as well.

 For ipython this is trivial as it is a variant. I do not know where the
 difference comes from for `tables`.
