 libkgapi isn't the only port that has symbol visibility (exporting) issues
 with the produced shared library/ies: kdepim-libs and kdepim-runtime are
 affected too.
 In order to build correctly, both ports need to be built with Apple's
 gcc-4.2 on OS X 10.6.8, *not* with Apple clang 3.0 (the version
 distributed with Xcode 4 for 10.6).

 Given the size of both ports I haven't tried MacPorts' clang-3.4 .

 Curiously, kdepim itself can be built with clang-3.0 without issues.

 Attached is a patch for kdepim-runtime that removes the blacklisting of
 gcc-4.2 .
