Comment:

 Why does the indicated file already exist? It shouldn't.

 You can force the activation (i.e. "sudo port -f activate python27") but
 you might run into the same problem later with other ports, if files they
 want to install also already exist on your system.

 To eliminate the problem, you could follow the MacPorts uninstallation
 instructions, then reinstall MacPorts and the ports you want.
