 config file location: I should add the location of christopherbalz's
 config.log file attachment:
 /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_lang_gcc47/gcc47/work/build/x86_64
 -apple-darwin14/libgcc/config.log

 Later version of gcc: How to make the requesting resources use a later
 version of gcc so that this will work?
