 Hi! Thanks for bringing up a solution for this, it has been bugging me for
 weeks! However, I've not been able to get the patch to work yet.

 After downloading the octave.diff file from the top and putting into my
 Downloads folder, I run this:

 "sudo patch -p0 < ~/Downloads/octave.diff"

 I get this:

 patch unexpectedly ends in middle of line
 patch: **** Only garbage was found in the patch input.

 Any ideas ? Thanks and greetings from norway
