 Yes, the fftw3 variant works perfectly for me.
 I work (today) with a newly fresh install of macports under Yosemite.
 But it worked perfectly a few days ago under Mavericks.
 I remember that I had link issues with fftw-3 a few months earlier; it was
 due to the use of an old revision of fftw-3.

 My current settings:
