Comment:

 The config.log shows that your version of Clang is:

 {{{
 Apple clang version 2.1 (tags/Apple/clang-163.7.1) (based on LLVM 3.0svn)
 }}}

 As shown in XcodeVersionInfo this is the version of Clang that came with
 Xcode 4.1 on OS X 10.6. This is not a suitable compiler for OS X 10.9.
 Please reinstall the latest version of Xcode and the Xcode command line
 tools per our installation instructions to get a suitable compiler.
