 Not sure why this is failing for you. The log says:

 :info:build make[5]: *** [fstrcmp.lo] Error 1
 :info:build make[5]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
 }}}

 but I see nothing before that that says ''what'' error occurred. I've not
 had any problem building gettext on my systems.
